Your big day is approaching! Now that you’ve found your dream dress at New Tradition Bridal (*wink wink), it’s time to complete the look. You can find lists of bridal accessories on pretty much any blog, but we wanted to share some unique options we’ve loved seeing on our brides. These are the real bridal accessories you have to have!
Shoes are one of our favorite things, bridal or not! When it comes to the type of shoes you’re pairing with a wedding gown, there are actually a lot of options these days. One of our all time favorite bridal shoes is sneakers! Keds has partnered with Kate Spade New York and Rifle Paper Co. to create beautiful styles that would be perfect for a wedding. You can also customize converse or order “wedding converse” from sites like Etsy. Another great wedding shoe is a bootie. We’ve seen several boho brides wearing them for fall and winter weddings. Of course, if you insist on wearing heels, we have to recommend a chunky heel, always!
We’re loving the hats brides are bringing out! Many times, they’ll go the traditional route for the ceremony with a veil, and then switch to a fun hat for the reception. If a hat isn’t your thing, check out vintage combs or wedding hair chains. You could wear these with the veil, and just remove the veil after the ceremony.
We can’t talk about your wedding day look with mentioning jewelry. The truth is, this could go in literally any direction. It just depends on the style of your dress. For instance, if your dress has tons of embellishment, you may want to skip the necklace and go with lower profile earrings. If you’re a jewelry fanatic, choose a simpler dress, possibly with a sweetheart neckline, so you can wear a large necklace and sparkly, dangly earrings.
Undergarments are so important on the wedding day! Make sure you find pieces that are nude and don’t show lines. Depending on the dress, you may also need a more structured bustier as well!
Jacket or Wrap
Fall and winter weddings are right around the corner, and you’re right. Bridal jackets are not new or unique. We just love the customized denim and leather jackets brides have been wearing, and we don’t want them to go away! We also love wraps and shawls. It looks and feels like you’re getting cozy with a soft blanket, and we’re here for it.
This is one we’ve only seen a few times, and it’s both adorable and practical! After the ceremony, you head into a 4+ hour reception. Instead of running back and forth to the bridal suite, pick up a cute clutch like this one on Etsy to hold your essentials. From your cell phone to your favorite lip gloss, you’ll be set for the night!
